Range Art

'Range Art' is the decorative painting I have been doing for the Lucerne Valley (California) Lions Club, Lions' Pride Park & Range. The Double R Bar Regulators (cowboy action shooting club) have their fake town of Chimney Rock on location and these images are details within the town. (FYI: The on-site caretakers LOVE walking the town. Heck, the cowboy shooters and spectators LOVE walking the town.) The weathering/fauxing and most of the signage was done by Danny Alvarado, a professional scenery artist working at the studios and Disney. Another local artist, Rhonda Peltier (a L.V. Lion, as am I) has fauxed a couple props and buildings. The paintings inside of windows depicting a strange sense of humor are mine, and are shown below.

About the Images

Even though I've been painting for 30-some odd (cough, cough!) years, I am fairly new to BIG exterior murals and scenery (faux) painting. I am enjoying it and actually am looking forward to doing more.
